Title: On the Net or invisible: The evolution of mathematics
        and science (Presentation Slides)

Abstract: Traditional scholarly journals are changing very slowly, although they are increasingly moving to the Net, and soon will start abandoning print formats. On the other hand, other forms of electronic communication that take advantage of the unique capabilities of the Internet and simply do not fit into the traditional journal publishing format are growing very rapidly.

We may see an acceleration in the evolution of mathematics and science communication, as scholars begin to realize that their work will be effectively invisible if they stick to traditional methods.
