Prior to the International Congress of
Mathematicians 2002 in China, there will be the satellite:
International Congress of Mathematical Software, 2002 (ICMS). It will
be held in Beijing from August 17 until 19, 2002. For further

One of the special sessions at the ICMS will be devoted to `Mathematics on the Web'. The session will focus on the new possibilities of mathematical interactions made feasible by the Web/Internet and the shifts in emphasis resulting from it (e.g. from complexity to credence).
Contributions to this session are hereby solicited. They can range from software engineering problems for mathematical systems, networking and interoperability issues, data representation and other standards to allow cooperation, user interfaces to mathematical software and example applications. Please propose contributions to one of the

1. We will have several people waiting in the airport on August 16, 2002.
They may help you get to the hotel.
Please looking for the "ICMS" poster.
2. The Jade palace hotel accepts credit card and Cash.
The CAS Guest house only accepts Chinese currency in Cash.
You may change the currecncy and pay the hotel yourself.
You may also pay the hotel fee with your currency at the registration
desk and we will do it for you.
3. We prefer to accept cash as the registration fee.
Traveler's check is also okay.
4. You may do registration on August 16 at the lobby of Jade Palace or
on the second floor of Jade Palace from August 17 to August 19.

There will be proceedings to the congress. These will be published by World Scientific Publishers. Not only research papers, but also excellent expositions will be accepted. The page limit is 10 pages by LaTeX article format. (The possibility of publishing the very best research papers of the ICMS proceedings in the Journal of Symbolic Computation is also being explored.)
