SIMATH 4.0 Available Now The new version 4.0 of SIMATH ist available now under http://emmy.math.uni-sb.de SIMATH is a for scientific purpose free available computeralgebra system mainly designed for computations in number theory. Here is a short description: SIMATH is written in C, contains an interactive calculator (simcalc) and many C-functions over algebraic structures as arbitrary long integers, rational numbers, floating point numbers, polynomials, Galoisfields, matrices, elliptic curves, algbraic number fields, modular integers etc. Elliptic curves are implemented in a highly efficient manner. Many higher algorithms for elliptic curves are available in simcalc. See also the above link for more informations about SIMATH. SIMATH runs on the following platforms: Sun 3/140 under SunOS 3.4, Sun 3/80 under SunOS 4.0.3, Sun SPARCstation under SunOS 4.1.x, HP 9000 series 700 under HP-UX 9.0x, SGI Indigo under IRIX 4.0.5F, SGI Challenge under IRIX 5.1.1.2.
